Rittenhouse Square Philadelphia

Neighborhood Guide

The Rittenhouse Square neighborhood is located in the heart of Philadelphia, conveniently nestled between Walnut and Pine Streets and running from the Schuylkill River to Broad Street.
Dating back to 1800s, Rittenhouse Square has remained a largely residential area. At the center lies the historic Rittenhouse Square, one of William Penn’s original landmarks. A lively green space popular throughout the year, the square hosts a Spring Festival, Fine Art Show and a dazzling holiday display.

Today, the neighborhood blends historic townhomes and newer developments on quiet café-lined streets with some of the finest shopping and restaurants the city has to offer.
